Molly Hagman was born and raised in Sweden where her passion for dance really took off at Malmoe Dance Academy in 2009. Molly immersed herself in all dance styles offered at the academy, representing World Dance, including Belly Dance, Bollywood Samba, Dancehall, Reggaeton, Street styles, Jazz, Contemporary and Ballet.
During her 6 years as a student, and later on a teacher at MDA, she established a versatile foundation.
In 2024, Molly performed with world-renowned salsa artist Yiyo Sarante at high-profile concerts
in New York and New Jersey, including shows at the historic Ritz Theatre and the iconic United Palace.
She also graced the stage at the United Palace as part of Teodoro Reyes’35th-anniversary celebration, sharing the spotlight with Latin music legends such as SergioVargas and Fefita La Grande. Molly’s talent has been showcased at prestigious events like the New York International Salsa Congress and the New York BIG Salsa Festival, where she performed and taught workshops, solidifying her role as both a performer and educator. She has also performed at the legendary Copacabana in New York City, adding to her growing influence as a professional dancer.
Molly’s versatility extends to television, with an appearance on The Art of Fashion TV, where she discussed her career and the cultural significance of salsa. She has also been featured in music videos for artists such as Papcy the Don, Doug Beavers, and Conjunto Imagen.
Earlier in her career, Molly won the finale of “This Is Talent” (Talang) in Sweden and performed at numerous prestigious salsa congresses and festivals across Europe with the Bellasitas team from Malmö Dance Academy, Scandinavia’s most decorated Latin dance team.
Her performances with Grupo Niche and La India at the International Salsa Festival further underscore her exceptional talent and recognition in the world of Latin dance.
As a former member of Yamulee Dance Company, Molly contributed to performances and instruction, further solidifying her status in the salsa community.
